Dale,

Oil may go up anyway.

The king of Saudi Arabia is senile and dying (Cancer). The crown prince hates America. There are over 60 more princes that are heir to the throne.

What a blood bath!

The price of oil should go up at that time. Although, be careful what oil stock you own. Oil companies heavily invested with the Saudis' could take a real hit.

Gold should keep going down with all the countries selling it now. However, silver should pick up since everyone wants a stake in something to hedge against a falling dollar.

Also, rumor has it that good old Warren Buffet is looking for a silver stake of his own in NYSE:NEM (Newmont Mining).

What better time for old Warren to buy in than when the market is dropping the share price

...hhmmmm!

Not everything goes down in a falling market.

Like Joe (TM) says: "nothing goes straight to heaven";

the reverse is also true: Nothing goes straight to hell!

DW--In regards to your Friday question, it looks like the FED has promised lot's of liquidity. This may cause a pop up, but if it happens, it is a sucker rally. I am short the s+p, have been short it, and will short it more on any significant rise.
The long stock market game is as over as the Chicago Bears. <<get it?>>
