Would you value my opinion any more if my name was Bull Z. Rider?

No, less. Ha Ha Ha..

Hi Phil. haven't seen you for a while. You and I have been ridiculed, trashed, insulted, taunted, etc., etc., by the best of idiots mostly on AENG (SI and AOL). I use an alias because it limits the arena in which negative response appears. I wouldn't want AENG type of garbage in my email basket, it has enough sex-trash I have to filter out now. (I made the mistake of using my primary email address in a chat room.)

As long as one herself makes responsible statements, she can be secure in knowing that ridicule is misdirected, and it should have no effect on her ego, so why block it out completely? Sometimes your most hateful critic has one little gem of insight.

It would be an impossible survey, but it would be interesting to know how many seemingly "real" names are really aliases.
