McNealy complains about the frequent upgrading and growing complexity and bloat of the Microsoft Windows desktop. He laughs it off as having a mainframe on every desk.

Tell me, Mr. McNealy, is the browser model any different? I seem to see the same frequent upgrading, growing complexity, and bloat. Is there any synergy between the browser and Java?

Java and the NC only offer modest improvements on a flawed architecture and no real solution.

Well with your previous posts I was going to say that you must be a microslop employee or else a unhappy X-Sun employee but with this latest statements you are definitely not a X-Sun employee which only leaves MS but now I don't even think this is possible. I've been wrong before though.

Java and the NC is going to make the average person who just wants to run applications and doesn't want to be bothered with system admin. It might not happen tomorrow but it will one day be possible.
Windows can't accomplish this and never will. Windows is a piece of crap but it keeps lots and lots of IT people fully employed.

As always JMHO
