Hi divie; My specialty is hardware, so I really don't
feel like I can comment too much on where software is
going.

I think that servers use operating systems other than
MSFT's. If NT was such a dog, why aren't people switching
to another operating system? Compatiblity?

But I agree completely that computer software has to get
a lot easier to operate for most people. (The truth is
that I am reasonably satisfied with how easy my machine
is to use, except for the minor detail of occasionally
crashing.)

I was surprised to hear the other day that NT is the provides
the largest single product revenue source as MSFT. (I wonder
if they included earned interest?)

P.S. I'm really just a hardware guy. When they start
talking about domain controllers and SQL servers, my
eyes glaze over and I start thinking about sex.
