Hi divie; My specialty is hardware, so I really don't feel like I can comment too much on where software is going. I think that servers use operating systems other than MSFT's. If NT was such a dog, why aren't people switching to another operating system? Compatiblity? But I agree completely that computer software has to get a lot easier to operate for most people. (The truth is that I am reasonably satisfied with how easy my machine is to use, except for the minor detail of occasionally crashing.) I was surprised to hear the other day that NT is the provides the largest single product revenue source as MSFT. (I wonder if they included earned interest?) -- Carl P.S. I'm really just a hardware guy. When they start talking about domain controllers and SQL servers, my eyes glaze over and I start thinking about sex.
