Now, keeping in mind that the DEM along with all the other EU-currencies are doomed to vanish from Jan 1st, 1999 on (On Jan 1st, 2002 only the Euro will prevail), we should rewrite your statement this way:
''There is no conspiracy to support the Euro until after the German elections.''
Since today, from a political viewpoint, the Euro and the D-mark are interchangeable... I see you don't have Messrs H. Tietmeyer, W. Duisenberg, F. Verplats (Belgium) and J.-Cl. Trichet --to name but a few European central bankers-- in your PDA.
