CIMA, there is such a thing as news being priced into a market.
We all know Russia has problems, Russia has had only 7 years to become a market economy. The question is will the Russian stock market continue to go down. Markets are supposed to price in news. There is a good chance the RTS index more than takes in account the latest news about Russia. In fact it may be oversold. How would you like to buy the world's largest oil company measured by reserves for $2.5 billion ???
In the same way, America is doing great economically, however the American stock market may not necessarily continue to go up.
