Agreed. It's like playing a roulette game and in the midst of it all the dealer says "Stop! The rules have changed!" Next, there won't even be a bird at the door picking leftovers. That's not a true free market economy which is what HK still bragging about. Second, how is Taiwan politically absorbing this? Yeah, the communist Daddy rubbed your back this time, but there will be a payback. When Beijing says "Come to Papa!" Would Taiwan say yes?
