Now, Jeff, you KNOW they have to have that special tag to be official Beanie Babies! <g>...and that same Hallmark store coughed up a couple of the Derby the Horse(s) this weekend, btw ... whatta scene! That's sweet, your friend's children donating their Chilly for your collection. I hear that Chilly's worth about 2 grand now, mint....imagine if we knew back then what we know now...heck, most of my daughter's Beanies were gifts, and I cut those dang tags off myself! Not that it matters, anyway...my daughter won't part with any of them. She's always loved them more than any other toy or doll she has...but I'm putting Bubbles in a case up on the shelf since it's still in good shape. Digger's beyond help - no hangtag and well-loved. <g> <laffin...> "IPO" Beanies....I love it! I only have the Princess one of those (PE pellets) and since I got it for only $20, I'm not too worried. It's a 1997 Canadian version, and has french on the back of the tush tag, so I'm wondering what it will be worth in the end...no pun intended. <g> And heeheeeeheeee, I hear there's actually a Beanie Index...and it's down 7.5% overall for the last three months...and they're blaming the summer and it being slow...just LOL, sound familiar?!! Tell Debra I think she should have all the special cabinets she wants! JEM
