Top 10 list of lessons learned / reinforced by MRVC:

#10 - Token insider buying should be ignored at best

#9 - Be wary of a company where management in unable to give a clear vision of the future

#8 - Don't invest in a company whose technology you don't understand

#7 - What goes down CAN go down farther and faster

#6 - Beware of a stock whose relative strength declines in spite of continued strong fundamentals (and that includes 33 straight quarters of increasing .........)

#5 - Don't fall in love with a stock that once made you good money

#4 - A large short position will not cushion your fall

#3 - Never let rumors influence your decision to invest

#2 - Never, ever, ever, initiate or increase your position on a day when the stock breaks below long term support on high volume and remains near the low for the day, regardless of how down a day it is in the general market or how oversold you think the stock is

AND NOW FOR THE #1 LESSON LEARNED FROM MRVC ....................

#1 - Reading SI threads on stocks you're invested in (especially on companies that don't generate much news of their own) can cause you to subconsciously lose your objectivity and ignore basic sound investment principals.......Hell, I've got to blame something for this disaster <ggg>

As you may guess, I've been a longtime investor in MRVC and lurker on this thread. Since I have paid a high tuition for these lessons, I felt I should preserve them in writing. I will paste them on my wall and review them regularly. I expect that in the long run, this tuition will pay for itself many, many times over.

Best of luck to everyone....Long AND Short
