There is a NEW forum with my "alias" attached to it concerning dgiv. For the record, I did not start this new thread. I don't know how it happened or why. I have sent an email off to SI for an explanation and to delete it. Also, for the record, I do not post on the SI anymore.
Somehow or another, someone managed to use my "dgivinvestor" alias. Anyone know how this could be done? Or why it was done?

...This is the song that never ends
It just goes on and on my friends
Some people started singing it not knowing what it was
And they'll continue singing it forever just because...
(refrain)

... in memory of Shari Lewis...

Internet

The Internet telephony market will grow rapidly over the next five years, to account for about 28% of international call minutes by 2003, says telecoms consultancy Analysys. Less than 1% of international calls will be carried over the Internet this year, but by 2003 the market will be worth $7 billion.

Analysys says Internet use is growing at about 50% a year. By the end of 1997, nearly 20 million computers and 60 million people were connected to it. To fight back, says Analysys, telecommunications companies, and particularly telecoms operators, must re-invent themselves, leveraging their expertise in areas such as bandwidth, Internet telephony, intranets, wireless Internet access and the development of open set-top box platforms.

* Internet uptake in Europe is gathering pace and will generate a multi-billion dollar market in broadband access services by the start of the next century, says market researcher Datamonitor. Demand for broadband access technologies, including DSL, ADSL and cable modems, is being driven by video and audio intensive applications. As a result, European broadband access services will be rolled out this year and will start to take off in 1999. By the year 2000, broadband access services revenues will exceed $2 billion, says Datamonitor, and ADSL services will be used by more than 360,000 European businesses, generating more than $1 billion of revenue.
