B***S***! As a citizen Clinton is accountable to the same law as you and I. Moreover, unlike you and I, he took an oath to defend the Constitution and to faithfully execute the laws of our country. (All of them not just the ones he liked.) He was sued in a civil lawsuit (Paula Jones) for sexual harassment. He failed to answer questions truthfully under oath. He lied about his relationship with Ms. Lewinsky and it appears he tried to cover it up and has used the power of his office and taxpayer paid lawyers to obstruct the investigation. He knowingly and deliberately deceived the country, his cabinet, his wife and his daughter. He should resign immediately. He is UNFIT to hold the highest office in this land whatever else may be in Starr's report. Simple logic which holds despite the liberal spin. "Facts are stubborn things." (John Q. Adams) JLA

Actually, it does matter in that he's doing it in the office and with an intern/trainee. And since he engaged other officials to propagate his lies and to help him in his coverup, especially his secretary. He used his secretary as a surrogate to handle gifts and to sign her in and out to cover up well before this was an issue. Let him hire pimps using his own money.

Rarebird, get a grip on reality: When you swear on an oath to tell a court the whole truth and nothing but the truth, there are only two legal alternatives:

1) Tell the truth.

2) Refuse to answer, and risk a Contempt of Court citation - which is the alternative that Susan McDougal chose - she sat in jail for 1 year on that charge.

Gee, too bad you didn't tell Susan McDougal that she could simply say, "your honor, there are private sexual issues involved, therefore I refuse to answer your question. Actually, I think I may lie."

Again, Get Real. This is the real world, not your sexual fantasy world.

Further, government employees are indeed convicted of perjury, even for lying about sexual issues. I read about one such woman Federal employee from Idaho.

.... "The lies are justified because....yada, yada, yada..."

This is absurdly biased conclusion drawn simply because, and by those interested who want to keep this lowlife in office. Bill Clinton individually proved himself unworthy of any respect by unremorsefully lying to his wife, his loyal followers, his cabinet, congress, the American people, and the entire world. He is without integrity.
