Hitachi to Develop Camcorder Using DVD-RAM Next Year, NEN Says

Tokyo, Sept. 1 (Bloomberg) -- Hitachi Ltd. plans to develop and sell a camcorder that uses Digital Video Disc-Random Access Memory (DVD-RAMs) rather than videotape to save images, Nikkei English News reported, citing unidentified persons from the company. DVD-RAMs are better than conventional videotape in data retrieval and still-image reproduction, and images can be easily edited on computer. The Tokyo-based electronics company recently created a prototype of the camcorder, NEN said.

I don't know if Total EV is using Ovonic batteries. If I find out, I will post it.

My thoughts are that we may see another quarter with a loss - not as much as in the past. Then we will see a much better 1st quarter (showing a profit).

Another interesting area to watch is the announcement that is suppose to be made on Wednesday.
