*OT*His Pinkness: Good point; where else can one get a decent, risk-adjusted return? Although cash would prove a better holding than eroding principal, I've never subscribed to short-term market timing. Thinks will likely work themselves out just as they have in the past. I think much of the current individual-level "panic" might be coming from that broad group who has never seen any type of market other than a raging bull. I don't know about the pros. Maybe some of the investment managers and mm's who are on the thread have a better perspective of how the pros really view what's going on; although many of the pros may not have actually ever been through a market tank like this.
