I am going to answer for xia, the capitalization of the whole HK market is about $270 Billion US, the HK Government has $90 billion US reserve, so the most it can own is 33% of the HK market. As a matter of fact, during the last 9 days, it had spent about 15 billion US already.

I roughly estimated the US market to be 11,000 Billion US !
