To Anyone;

This may be a stupid question...but....If one is holding shares against which he has purchased additional securities on margin, and the shares have gone down in value such that a margin call is imminent, can they be used to sell calls to "raise" cash to meet the margin call?

TIA and I apologize if this is a really stupid question.

Joe...yes the 4 yrs return were before i began ccing...i only strated in june...so it is to early to say what % to expect yet but hopefully could add begin 5 to 10 % if all works out...bj
