Article in Orlando FL paper this weekend. A test was down of the cities traffic lights. Seems when the clocked was pushed to 2000, they all screwed up. Their solution for now appeared to be to roll the clock back to 1972. They wondered what else would be affected.

Could you imagine, January 1, 2000 comes and all the major cities have gridlock.

Hmmmmm......

I totally confused! Hanifen, Imhoff (the firm that has made a strong buy recommendation for TAVA) stated in an 8/18 Wall Street Journal article its comfort level with $0.04.

"Tava spokesman Scott Liolios attributed the rise to a combination of factors: an Aug. 13 reiteration of a "buy" recommendation by Hanifen, Imhoff analyst Russell Welty in Denver; an Aug. 16 interview with Tava Chief Executive John Jenkins in the Venture Returns newsletter; and a rebound by the stock market and by companies tied to solving year 2000 computer problems.

In his update, Welty said he was very comfortable with his fourth-quarter estimate of $15 million in revenue and four cents in earnings per share. In the Venture Returns interview, Jenkins emphasized that the prospects for the company are "better than ever."

I don't understand why analysts expectations are $0.07 in view of this statement - or is this old data that was never updated by the publishers of this information? I would think that if this is what a principal booster of the company says then analysts should be at that number - most particularly when the whisper number is $0.01 less than Hanifen, Imhoff's analyst's statement.

Anyone care to comment?

Dorine,

From what I'm hearing, Emerald changed analyst coverage for TAVA. They were just a little slow at bringing their numbers down. Everyone I know is looking for .04 cents.
