Thanks for your opinions. " how long is long term?" This is a good question.
I don't want to go on any further with a discussion about gold because it is not the topic here.
The news about the settlement is typically for the political life. Imagine there is really one politician left who cares about ideals.
I think the others will take the money. They will know that if the settlement dies they will have to wait at least two more years for the money. And since they are elected only for couple of years the officials will take the money to secure their election in the next period.
