Dell down big and it hasn't taken the others with it to the same extent. Agree with your sentiments.

Steve... DELL down 9 points now! I'm watching Joe Kernan and he's simply running thru a list of blue chips that are down. GE, LU, INTC, HD, CSCO, etc. all getting creamed! CSCO down 5! CPQ is being treated no differently than the rest. One of these times when DELL dips, it won't come back and CPQ will and that will signal the long awaited trend toward parity. El

Riechers,re:"dell". DELL can lose 80% of its' present values and
still come out way ahead of most stocks in the U.S (if you bought
it in 1995 and holdon to now).

I believe it is a ZERO-sum game (probably incrementatl supply of
money from governments). If DELL goes down 80%, then all money
shift to something else, how about CPQ(I don't have any). Just the
timing of money flow is hard to know for individuals.

With most U.S equities corrected 30% or so, even big names, would
one beg with C.D/treasury or one of those, I'll take stock and let
the lord decide how much longer and how many jobs do I need to work.

With Dell dropping as fast as a leaping Wall Street trader, and their upcoming split...it's only a matter of time before we see Dell stock priced the same as Compaq.
