James. Thanks for the report upon your research. I don't trade on margin so am instead looking for longer term values. Currently have buys in for LU at 72, GE at 75, & YHOO at 48. The trouble is, with the current turmoil, I'm beginning to be afraid I might get them. May revise lower, but still consider each a longer term value at these prices.

Best wishes,
OH

Thanks for sharing Jim W I have written all your suggestions down--I
have yet ever to short a stock or play options but I am now cranking up my study time to bigtime as I simply must start to get into this as I find I am not a happy camper when I am not making money--BTW I want to say a good word for "the canned" TA web-site 2nd Opinion as I am finding case after case where their TA has hit big these days---I would short AMZN NOW but it is my understanding there are no shares available to short.I noted that if some one had bought AMZN Sept85s
at the bell he would have nearly doubled his money by noon---it is this type of trading I have got to get into---
The big surprise in the market today as of 1pm was that the retailers
got hit---they plus the homebuilders are getting hit on the premise
that a down market will cause the consumers to do less shopping and also
back-off on new home purchases--they may be right or they will be opening up bargain prices--take your guess.Max
