From a phone call I had at the end of last week, the company is planning on something soon that will be of "major significance with a house hold name of the caliber of 3Com". In addition, they are planning on being featured on the front page of a major magazine.

Madison Systems Inc., was incorporated for the purpose of manufacturing and marketing its patent pending Network Security Switching Device (the "Centurion") which is designed to prevent unauthorized access to corporate and government internal computer networks, known as intranets, from external sources.

A recently published Ernest & Young Security Survey of 1,320 managers in Canada and the United States has revealed that nearly half of North American corporations have had information stolen from their networked computers by outsiders during the past two years.

The Network Security Switching Device is a switch that is designed to allow only one communication connection between a desktop computer and a private computer network or a desktop computer and external communication via a modem, to be active at any one time.

Communication between the desktop computer and the network is accommodated by an internal network communication board mounted inside the desktop computer and connected to the network by a type of telephone cable connected by a standard (RJ-45) connector jack.

Communication between the desktop computer and an external source (e.g. customer, supplier, fax software, etc.) is conducted by a modem mounted inside the desktop computer and connected to a telephone line by a standard (RJ-11) connector jack.
