Usually if you call the venue around 3:00PM the day of the show
they'll let you know. Jorma usually likes to play a while so
there's a good chance there will be no warm up. One of my
friends recently borrowed and LOST a pipe that Jorma took a couple
hits off of at show at Buff State college in 1982. We were in the
1st row and he put his hand of the mic and said "What smells so good?'' We passed it to him he turned around took a few tokes
and gave it back and thanked us. It was pretty funny. When
Jack's punk band SVT played Nassau Community College one of my
friends was on the concert comitteee. Jack walks into the backstage area a few hours behind show time and asked who can roll. My friend
jumped at the chance. Jack counted 5 people in the room and told him
to roll up 5 and handed him some green bud. When my friend finished
he gave each person ther own dube, which is actually pretty funny
because a couple of months later my friend caught shingles from
David Crosby. He still hates him for it 16 years later.
