Cramer did not say that Cohen got bearish. He said that he feels sorry for her predicament because she looks bad if she a) stays bullish or b) GETS bearish.

He said if she gets bearish, it would mark the bottom.

I agree.

Re: SAP

I really doubt that SAP can hold up here given that EVERY other ERP software provider (even ones that have been showing better results than SAP) has TANKED. It is trading at a PE multiple that is more than TWICE Peoplesoft's.

I don't know who SAP expects to sell new licenses to - R/3's long implementation cycle means that it's getting too late to fix Y2K by replacing legacy systems - you have to fix the systems you have. In other words, going forward from here until Y2K, buying SAP now means being in the middle of implementing the software when Y2K hits - who's going to want that?

An InformationWeek survey that companies with more than $1 billion in annual sales are overwhelmingly "patching" vs. "replacing" their systems in advance of Y2K.

This can't be good for SAP. And I think this fact is what has been hurting PSFT and other "enterprise" software companies. SAP has come down but not nearly the same amount. I think it's on thin ice here.

>>Cramer is saying Cohen has gone bearish but I can't find any factual info. Has anyone seen anything? <<

I heard Cohen on the radio tonight (Monday) and she remains as bullish as ever, citing the strong American economy, our low inflation and stability of our banks.
