As a shareholder/trader of CY, I have to say that the levels we are seeing today are compelling. We are approaching book value of $5.95 per share. This yields a P/B ratio of 1.04. Since 1993, the low P/B ratio has been 1.0, and the low 5 year average is 1.3. On a price to sales ratio, the 5 year low PSR occurred in 1993 and was 1.0. The 5 year average low PSR is 1.2. By my estimation, the current PSR is 1.09 based on the last 12 months of revenues, and is 1.18 based on "guesstimated" fye 98 revenues of $477.7 million, which could come in lower, for sure.

Question: Could you provide us with your "personal opinion" estimate of fye 98 revenues?

Dan,

1) Sorry I spelled your name wrong.
2) OK we'll use 8-31-98 closing prices for our performance bet. We'll buy $10,000 of each stk. based on these prices and see what they are worth on 8-31-99.

DELL 100 - 19 3/4 = 100 shares

CSCO 81 7/8 - 12 13/16 = 122 shares

CY 6 1/16 - 7/16 = 1,509 shares

3) Price performance will need to be adjusted for DELL and CSCO splits. I've made a "mental note" of 8-31-99.
4) Didn't have anything in particular in mind for the "bet''. Let me think about it and I'll get back to you.
5) In case I seem a little resentful of CY's past performance it is because I have owned it since it spit 2:1 many years ago with an average price of 19 3/8 per share and I bought it for my kids at 15 3/4 per share so you can see CY hasn't quite turned out the "investment" I thought it would. I can hardly wait until my shareholder value starts making me a PROFIT.
6) Feel free to post here anytime. Your comments are most welcome.
