You only need to learn that lesson once, luckly I experienced it as a youth, and couldn't repeat it then if I wanted too..I lost most of my savings at 18 years old playing commodities on margin, I was right about betting on inflation, but my timing was off. When I came back into Stocks in 1980...it was CASH.
