Exactly right. But now you're making excuses for Starr. I said earlier that Starr's investigation was "possibly illegal and definitely unethical" and I stand by that statement. We don't have the full story on Starr's aiding and abetting Tripp's conduct and to what extent Lewinsky was unlawfully detained by investigators without counsel and questioned relentlessly. And even if it were cleared of illegality, should we condone such tactics--especially when it involves an investigation at the highest levels of our government? What do you think of the tactic to have Tripp continue to illegally tape Lewinsky on behalf of the OIC? What do you think of the fact that Tripp went to Virginia (on the advice of Starr???) to tape Lewinsky in a jurisdiction where it is lawful to do so? Talk about technicalities.
