Actually AMZN could still spin off stock in a secondary and get plenty of cash. In fact they will have to do it eventually to repay the creditors - those loans are good forever.

I was actually expecting them to raise cash by now with a secondary and not even screw around with the junk bond nonsense. They probably missed the opportunity to dump a zillion shares at $100+ though. Even now their paper is quite valuable.
