If we can get through this week without an new Brinker thread on the Internet, I think the market will be all right. For much of this Bull market, it was only Truman's thread and that Yahoo thing that we had to contend with. Then Kirk's Suite 101, followed by Bob Jr's site and now this "Club." Damn, I haven't had time to buy anything these past few weeks, spending all my time clicking here, then there, then back here, then over there. If we can just keep it at five for awhile, maybe things can get back on track.

Justa, I was in the process of posting a lengthy message to you when my system crashed. So, I lost the message.

I think I am going to stay the course...although my portfolio is down less that 10% from it high, I think the risk/reward equation is starting to turn in favor of reward. In other words, I think we are getting near a bottom. Didn't Ralph C. (Mr. Flip Flop) say we may go to a low in the Dow of 7200/7400? If he did, we are about there. I don't have the final closing numbers, but I think the Dow is now at these level. Lets see if we start to base line in the next week or so.

Sure would like to see you stay the course...however, we all need to make up our own minds as this becomes a very personal thing.

Good luck and stay in touch.

Justa, I found my original message...here it is:

Justa, my cash reserves would allow me to buy equities, and I can tell you there are now many raging buys out there. My major loss is due to one stock that getting the sh*t kicked out of it today...Dell. However, if any company has a good chance to recover, its Dell. My other loss are mainly spread out over my various Mutual Funds.

I won't be buying anything at this time. Need to see how all this plays out. I hear there are other countries that may follow Russia...who really knows? The concern that I had for todays markets was due to this weekends news about Russia Duma not confirming the new PM.

As for seeing a Bear...I really don't known. If I was that good, I'd be publishing a newsletter and might even try the radio. <ggg> (Just a very poor joke.) I must admit, my "gut feeling" tells me we are seeing a replay of last Oct. Do you remember that last Oct. there were TV specials at night covering the days events, analyzing everything, and trying to convience the "small" investor that they should sit tight. Well, we may be seeing a replay of these same events, just a new name called Russia. Wish I knew some more...as I said, I'm not a professionl, just the average guy trying to make some money in the market.

Justa, try to sit tight and see what happens. However, I realize that this is a very personal situation, and we all need to do what's best.
