freeus, if you do have to sell,
you'd only have to cover the difference for the allowable coverage. I hope you wouldn't have to sell all.

Hope you don't mind my adding two cents here. I have seen you posting about margin calls several times before in the past. If you are so heavily margined that a couple down days will result in a margin call that causes you to sell, I think you need to rethink your use of margin. In these situations, the small investor is the one that gets hurt, usually selling out right at the bottom. I've seen it happen to investors in COMS last year, when the stock went to 24, then made a run to 60 in 3 months. It's happening much more widely right now, I'm sure.
