Thanks Jan, I think we were in fast market so that last price might change a bit.

Now who was it that was wondering when we would hit the 70's? If someone said tomorrow, this morning, they would have been laughed off the thread. My puts are priced like high priced stocks now.

I've got to hand it to William H. I think he was dead wrong about AMZN fair value, but he sure picked a relatively good time to jump the long ship.

Regards, IS

P.S. Just heard that current tape on AMZN is 83 and change.

Nasty!!! Wow!

Question: How many shorters on this thread took this opportunity to cover? If you did, good job on not being greedy!!!

One thing that's important is that you must realize that this stock didn't fall on fundamentals. The leaders finally took it on the chin in this bad market. (look at Dell, Lucent). When the market turns, these stocks will lead the way back up. Not sure when it will happen, but it could be as early as tommorrow.

Here is the question you must ask:

Will e-commerce take off? If you say no, then shorting works. If you say 'yes', then you have to realize that Amazon is in the best position (by far) of any e-tailer. hands down. No one can argue this.

Good luck to all! I hand my head to the bears for this round!

The party is just picking up steam here in Bizzaro World:

Boris has put on a Speedo and is chasing the girls down by the pool. Clinton was last seen headed behind the viranda with a young Russian intern. Bezos just flew in from Seattle carrying with him three tons of smoked Salmon that he hopes to sell in a new Eastern block internet e-tailing venture, (Amazoniski.com), that is sure to lead to great new losses in keeping with the long-range business plan (to become the highest priced commodity retail company in history while simultaneously reporting the fastest growth in losses).

Yes, the bulls are partying hardy now! Onward and upward! Amazongonenutty.com is rallying from 105 to 83 3/4 and the fun has just begun!
