Just venting on Nightly Bus. News and Stan Weinstein.

Well, the Nightly Bus. News out of Florida books a lot of Florida analysts. Way too many IMO. But to put on glib and self-assured Stan Weinstein (out of Florida) today is despicable. Here's a guy -- his record IMO is only average if that-- to say -- we're in a bear market we're going lower, sell into rallies, the worst is yet to come, it's not going to get better, yadda ya... and not balance it equally with some positive comments by reputable analysts, that is just plain inflammatory and lousy newscasting. I've read Weinstein's comments for years and never found him to be any good. Buy/sell/buy. Can't follow what he says. His record isn't good. If I weren't so ticked off, I'd spend the time and pull it out of Hulberg. This guy would've cost you money IMO in '95 or '96. Now he's telling us the direction of the market --on a day when we need some reason and balance. Ahieeeeeeeeee. Deep breath... okay I feel better. Oh no. I forgot. they also put on some cockamayme economist who says, gee, maybe people will not buy things because they think if they wait they could get 'em cheaper, and maybe business won't make things, and this is deflation, and maybe that would be tough for the fed to turn around and maybe that would make the market go down. Well GOLLY. MAYBE, MAYBE this guy's predictions have just a very small probability of occurring. And MAYBE, since this guy's an economist, he knows zilch about making money in the stock market. Aieeeeeeeeee. Where is Peter Lynch or John Templeton on TV when we need them? MAYBE for certain I'll just sign off and take a shower.
