Re: LSI has to build fewer designs and more chips not fewer chips and more designs as they have been doing

IMHO, I think your wish is about to come true. In the next upturn, a lot of these 'fewer chips' designs are going to be turning into 'more chip designs'. For example, the DCAM stuff are all custom configured chips. So off one basic 'design', they may have 10 customers with 20 mask sets total e.g. Hence the guy who wins big is the one with the right building blocks.

Hey Wiz,

Welcome back!

Anyway LSI is still fine for the next up-cycle. When it comes it will be huge.

So what'll we do? Average down some more? Hey, brother, can you lend me a dime?...Oops, shouldn't even introduce that phrase from bygone days jokingly. My portfolio, like Addi's, is down so much that I, for one, am numbed to any further declines.

Hope you get your monitor back from the shop soon...wouldn't want the library cops to kick you out for hogging the PC at that venue.<ggg>

Regards,
Wolf
