Mark,

You said,

"I admit to sinning, and fully value Gods love.(Afterall, Gods love and the ability to give/recieve love is what I have stated is most important) The difference is that I think I am responsible for the quality and the effect of my actions on others. HOw is that being overly prideful?"

Recognizing your sin and taking responsibility is exactly what you have to do. Now this gets you so very, very close.......

The pride comes in when you said that you will try to do something about your sin, yourself. Like you could stop doing it. I know and you know we can never stop sinning. No matter how we try we can't! And in our human form, unfortunately its impossible not to sin. That's where we need God's help! Admitting to this to God is where your pride comes in. You don't want to admit to God that you are a sinner, do you????

We just need to admit to God, we are sinners (I have 1000's and 1000's of times), and that we need Christ to pay the price for our sin. We need to tell him we can not do anything to stop sinning and we need God's gift of salvation to make up for our sin. That's it!

Let God do the rest.......

Mark, just a little prayer like this will do the trick.....

God, thank you for your free gift of salvation, through the blood of your son, Jesus Christ. We are sinners, can do nothing about it, and we need reconciliation for it, as you tell us. That's why you gave us Jesus Christ! To die for us, on a cross, and to be resurrected, so we can have reconciliation. And we accept this free gift willingly and thankfully. Through Jesus I am free from sin, and have eternal salvation. Thank you! And I pray this prayer in your name......Amen!

Mark, I hope you can say this simple prayer one day, truthfully and straight from your heart. That's all it takes.....

God Bless,
Steve
