Sonny --- it has been awhile,,, I am glad I dropped margin this summer also. Sorry I held the ones I did but trading has kept me above water,,, esp YHOO, CPQ, VVUS, CTV, and a few others. Was not caught with much a month ago. Sold DIS and AOL nicely a few bucks and a bit of cash. History shows in a big correction Thurs have a BIG drop, Fri sinks a bit the Mon bombs before Tues opens down then closes up after the bottom. I am betting CPQ, INTC, OMKT, PEP and a little more on the first sign of a rise Tues after lunch. If it does not materialise like I hope I just wait a bit lomger... My guess is INTC @ 69 am buy @ 69 7/8 on the way to 72 1/2+++ close........

Dear Sonny,

If it is fear that the market was looking for, I think that it is fear they got. I too saw much of the appreciation evaporate in the last few sessions especially the one today. I thought of buying puts on Dell and Microsoft but then realized how expensive they were. Since I am a long term holder today's setback is just that. I would not dare to guess what the market will do today.
The S+P futures are up 19 points but we have seen so much selling into any rallies that I will not guess what today may be. I wish us all well and hopefully we will be able to look back on August as just a bad dream.

Best Wishes
Frank
