Jim,
I thought about that last week. I have never been on margin, I have been tempted but never wanted to take the chance.

My husband was on margin, about 13 years ago <dont remember what year> we lost 35K in one day....I learned my lesson watching him.

I try not to take chances....in other words Im a chicken!! >gg<

Thats very nice of you Jim, another motto I have in life <and in the market> is what goes around comes around!

Hey, J.W., let me add my congrats to the others you have received. Well-deserved. By the way, I was surprised to hear an Amigo had asked you to stop posting here. This, after all, supposed to be an "anything goes" thread (at least any kind of trading/investing strategies).
Anyway, my question to you is, did you cover your shorts today, as well (i.e. take your profits and run), or do you intend to wait for some more slide? If the latter, do you have a time-frame in mind? I've never sold short, as I don't even have margin authority (yet), but it is clearly a technique worth mastering, especially in a period of reversal, however you want to characterize it. #B~|>

NYSE:S is a good short play. They have too many problems right now. Once again watch out for the market trend this stock can catch you too. Just not as much upside as EK. Sears was trending down a month ago and keeps heading in that direction. Their chart looks ugly and they broke a head and shoulders pattern early.
