Wade/Jim,

The point I was making about not being a short term trader is the inherent guessing that goes into where this market is going. And while the average long term holders are essentially back to where they started the year, the average short term traders are back there as well, minus a lot of transaction costs. Hopefully, you do better than the other traders and have taken money from them with the volatility, but overall as a group, the brokers are likely the only ones ahead.

Why do I like being a long term holder? I still have to worry about THQ selling their products and managing costs and maybe a little about the macro economy, but I don't worry about what the market may or may not do. Because in the end, THQ will survive and prosper on it's business, not what people do with a minority of the stock on a day to day basis. And trust me, THQ's business is much less volatile than their stock price.

Kory

Unless every 401(k) participant is retired, 70 1/2 years old, and/or off their freakin' rocker...

THE LAST thing they will do is liquidate at the bottom. Why would any reasonable thinking person sell their equity holdings in a retirement plan so they can own fixed income or money market investments in the lowest interest rate environment of a generation?

Don't overestimate THQ's effect on pension plans. How many shares were outstanding prior to the split...something like 7MM shares? I would not characterize this issue as "widely held".

Undoubtedly, turning your THQ position for -$1.4375 only added to the calm today. Thanks.
