On CNN Interactive, some 78 % of people claimed that they would hold on to their stocks after today's decline.

I am not sure whether I really believe that though.

FredE: I must admit, one night is not as good as all weekend as in Oct 87. But, the media machine is in full force. A lot of John Q's will get the picture.

Statements like, "over 2 trillion vaporized since mid July in wealth" coupled with all night coverage of the drop, will make its mark. CNN is going to cover SEA markets and European markets all night. I believe many John Q's will be using the phone switch card tonight!

I concede that it may take a second day like today this week, to jump-start the lagers. That should happen tomorrow! And, if it does, look out Wednesday!

No I can't say URSA....care to explain?
