Joan, You don't need buyers for the dead cat bounceroo. If the sellers stop to count their booty, which I am currently doing, then the specialists and market makers can buy enough to take the averages up to some point that suckers in the technicians, the ones who are still alive. They scream breakout, and the specialists and market makers breakout the champagne as they sell to the suckers. But I don't expect huge volume, though the number of ignorant bulls this cycle is pretty massive.

Fidelity sells often after the market is already down a lot. Brain dead money management there, but every once in a while they get lucky and catch a trend that is strong.
