John I am hardly an expert on the Bible(or anything else for that matter). But you are correct, I dont take the Bible as Gods word. I have respect for much that is in both the old and new testament, but there are parts that I dont believe in also. I have a very large problem with the representation of God as a bitter, angry, and punitive Lord in the Old Testament. I discount much of it. That does not mean I discount the Jewish(or Christian) religion based on my disagreements, as I think both religions have much value when practiced as Ithink I understand them. I just dont agree with all of it. Mark
