Do not, as was suggested in the post I was responding to punish him for alleged crimes that cannot be proven with those that can [sex] .

These guys just want to see the word SEX in print again. We've said this numerous times and they claim to not get it.

<<The meaning was the punishment should fit the crime. It should not be exaggerated to punish for a crime that cannot be proven.I'm sure you can see the potential for miss use here>>

Impeachment is not about breaking laws or proving that crimes have happened. It's about politics. Even if no laws have been broken, it be both appropriate and proper to impeach A (not necessarily this one) President. Impeachment of other federal officials has been done due to perceived ethical lapses, unproven crimes, even bringing a bad name to the position.

If what you are saying is that Clinton should not be removed simply due to the sex, I agree. However, he seems to have brought great dishonor to the position of President not only by his speech about the mess and the subsequent bombing of what may turn out to be simply a pharmaceutical plant (I'm still waiting on this one), but by the erosion of many Presidential privileges as the courts have found against him over and over as he has tried to hide the truth. Remember, it's not about sex, and it's not about crimes - it's all about politics, and Clinton has made some serious political mistakes. At some later date, the criminal issue may come up. Impeachment does not in any way affect the prosecutor's ability to go after Clinton for perjury, etc. The two issues are not related.
