Nikkei stock average falls over 2
percent

TOKYO, Sept 1 (Reuters) - Tokyo stocks plunged more than
two percent in early trading as equity selloffs in the U.S. and
Europe sent the market to fresh 12-year lows.

As of 0009 GMT, the benchmark Nikkei average had fallen
363.43 points, or 2.58 percent, 13 744.46. That's its lowest level since March 3, 1986.
