No Jenna, in a downdraft market those stocks that hold the line don't always bounce back the most. In my studies I've found the high beta stocks with increasing earnings and price prior to the general selling event come back in the shortest time.. though not to the same highs. However, sometimes within the group that holds the line one can find gems. HSY was up today! Were traders gorging chocolate on the trading floor? DD has been getting upgrades and is divesting for cash. PSFT is way oversold based on a modified from 70 to 60% growth rate. A cautious market will often sell on good news, a rising market will reward good news. The recent action of killing good news shows where we are in the cycle.
