Russia ia not selling gold but has leased gold recently. Currently, the Russian CB is buying gold but will not sell any. They are also(dare i say it?) proposing the use of gold coins as currency since no one believes in paper over there anymore.-g-

There is also a fairly strong movement in Islam to mint gold coins as an alternative to paper. Seems they don't like what the US$ has done to the Arab world. Tsk, tsk.

Russia hasn't sold an ounce of gold and in fact has been buying gold. They said last week that they will mint gold coins to circulate to bring back confidence to the Ruble.

Remember, the same morons that are telling you on TV that gold is bad and that the Russians and other central banks will kepp selling have been telling you to hop in this bloated mkt. I'm telling you, THEY ARE WRONG.... AGAIN. Gold was up a $1 today and up another $3 tonight. As the dollar drops... gold rises. That's all you need to know.
