Hello Michael:

Regarding multiple accounts. Check with a qualified tax advisor. My guess is that it is beyond the gray area and because the transaction is being done for tax purposes, the accounts would be netted to determine the taxes. I saw some lingo recently, and it may have been SI, not Publication 550 where accounts were treated on a netted basis by the IRS for tax purposes. Thoughts. I would seek a well-placed opinion for that one.

Also if the commissioner declares the stock worthless, then it is a recognizable event for tax purposes. Better send that guy a pair of blinders pronto.

There are now mountains of temporary cash out there awaiting a less anxious spell for a place to roost. I would hope ZITL would not be a choice roost, but other stocks may have some runs. Traders market. It is a traders market. Some symmetry has arrived!!!
Best regards,
m
