Decisions, decisions. What to buy after the dust settles. I'm leaning towards CPQ,K,MO, and possibly, just possibly MRK.

There are quite a few of the "major", "solid" companies out there that are trading below book value after today's little episode. Some thought might be put into finding them and picking them up. Shouldn't hurt too much in the short or long-term.

P.S. The scary thing is that they haven't called. Now I AM worried.

Jon

Kerry,

I suspect this bottom will take a while to be set but already there are stocks that look very interesting. But I am not rushing into anything and will take my time to do some research before recommitting. But there will definitely be value to be found.

>>Now is the time when fortunes will be made or lost, not after the stocks recover.<<

you sound as if recovery is a foregone conclusion. i wonder if japanese investors felt recovery was a foregone conclusion when the nikkei was 35k ;-)
