> I like the new tactic; let's ask questions about the questioner and demand answers even if they have nothing to do with the stock which if I remember correctly is FNTN and is supposed to be the topic of this thread. Hi Tom, Whether or not this is directed at me, I'll be completely honest about where my questions come from. I simply like to get to the bottom of those that I'm dealing with. If Warren Buffett decided he would start posting on the FNTN thread and submitted a series of what appear to me to be questions with a decidedly negative bias to them, I would wonder why. You see, I dislike this sort of negative hype just about as much as I abhor rampant cheerleading. A famous investor (well no, not actually, it was actually Cliff himself) once told me that I should believe half of what I hear and none of what I read. Simply following his advice. Mike

LoL... This is true.

I'm suprised of the high spirits here. The market fell to it's death and FNTN is trading at levels it hasn't seen for a month or more. Yet on an up day for FNTN the longs exclaim that when the market falls people look to secure their money in pennies like FNTN because they are not affected by the market indexes. But on the other hand when FNTN falls AND the market falls it's because of the market. They can't make up their mind which side of the fence they are on.

I guess they are just trying to reassure themselves.

Tommy Boy,

I can't speak for others, but I will repeat the single most important thing my dear old uncle taught me:

If you can't afford to pay cash for it - You can't afford it!

$$ -> $$$ -> $$$$$ Get the picture?

Perhaps, before today and perhaps after tomorrow, there are / will be a lot of people in the market that really can't afford to be there, but for some strange reason feel they must stay and play the game.

Perhaps it's just their ego getting the better of them.

All you have to do is be patient and like Capt. Miller said in "Saving Private Ryan": EARN IT!

Of those who really don't have the cash to play the game, perhaps you, perhaps others, some of them will be selling the No.2 pencils to everyone else.

Please remember, there is no work below the abilities or dignity of any of us. :-)

Best wishes and Good Investing,

.......-jp

PS: I haven't taken the time to look, but percentage wise, how did fbna, orcl, odis, slvn, msft, and a few others do in comparison to the 14.02% drop in FNTN? In your opinion, will they come back as fast?

Just asking TC.
