Don't worry about THQI. The pain will be over shortly.

I think we'll be back at $18 once things cool off. I don't expect much more on the downside and I expect THQI to pop easily because of the valuation and small float, even with the split.

Just my $.02

Aloha

Good to see you back, Sword. Good post--I've not yet shorted stocks, but I think this market offers a good argument for selective shorting as a hedge, especially if one isn't too sophisticated about options strategies and/or doesn't have ready access to good options executions (I'm in both camps.) Glad that your shorting helped ease the pain.

I unloaded 1/3 of my non-IRA position at 28 1/4 pre-split a few weeks back, but otherwise have been carrying THQI all the way down. (Unfortunately, I just got back into town last Friday, and couldn't easily trade while on vacation.) Since it's far and away my largest position, my losses are pretty massive.

It'll be interesting to see when the panicking stops. I'm reluctant to sell at these levels, but it's certainly easy to see it spasming lower. Can't say I ever thought I'd see us break 20 pre-split again, esp after the private placement was cancelled.

Regards,

Dave

<< The terms were never announced but any convertible is a blot on a good balance sheet. Floorless convertibles are death.>>

Absolutely correct. And the posters who tried to put a pretty face on this were very much mistaken, I think. Despite my picking up several K at 9 7/8 earlier, I think that THQI's statement that they'll try again with this is one of the reasons that the stock has behaved a lot worse than RADAF. Moreover, the expectation of that ugly shoe being dropped again and could well function as a lid on a rebound.

Also, I think it's encouraging that there's so much fear about. It suggests that what's been going on is a panic blowoff. . . . I hope.
