Hi Sandra,

Your senior citizens must not be senior enough to remember the 1930's. There's no question that the markets will rally. Like I said, a lot of these rallies will be fueled by short covering as we rebound off of support levels. Only foolish people will go long in these rallies, since the smart people are covering shorts or just buying for the bounce (back into the mid 8000's ?). So there's still a bundle to be made, just don't get greedy or even begin to think we will return to new highs.

Go look at 1929 through 1933. You will see "the crash" was just the beginning. As people continued to go broke they had to keep selling their dearest possessions --- the stocks they bought in the late 1920's.

When companies start revising earnings expectations upward before they announce earnings is when you know the bull is back !

Regards,
Chris

BTW, I was one of those lucky people who got through to my broker and was able to "bargain buy" last Oct. Within 6 weeks everything I bought had fallen below their "bargain" prices. No reason for things to be any different this time around.
