Geoff, Jack Welch, the CEO of GE once said: " You can't think long term if you don't eat short term." The Market is discounting here a possible recession. I don't blame it for doing so either. It makes sense.

As I said already many small caps were hammered down already a few months ago. I think stock picking will start now. Now people are increasing their cash positions. And what will they do with their money?
They have to invest it somewhere. There are so many really cheap stocks out there with PE's of less than 10.

But I agree I can't stand it when analysts predict a Dow of 3000.
They are making people crazy.
