Firstly I can't understand your story about the share and the money. Do you mind trying again, and maybe take your time doing it this time.

Secondly, I am not inventing anything. I am asking: "Where did the money go" and "How does the company account for issued but unpaid shares"?

Have you ever heard the word "closing"? The lawyer for the purchaser of the stock shows up to a meeting with a certified cheque and a bunch of signed documentation and the lawyer for the company shows up with a share certificate. Money against certificate. That is the way it is done in the real world.
