Opal>I dont disagree for a minute that xoma is a steal at this price.
I do think though that we are NOT the only ones in this situation.
There are TONS of biotechs at going begging valuation. Big Pharma could pick and choose.
George>I think (but am not sure) that management understands all to well the value of bpi products and will not sell for a pittance, even if you insist that at 100% premium they are take -out able.
Remember this, a deal might take 6 months to 15 months.
The incy patent consolidation IMO was needed to package a nice clean deal. A bpi deal can take many forms, but I would venture a guess that (if it comes) it might bring more than the market cap.
Thats more than a double, and it also would bring money in.
Will it happen. I dont know. And if not bpi21 then maybe bpi42, or hu1124 etc. Just sit tight (if you can).
All IMO, based on all public info. Do not invest based on what I ever say. Consider all as worthless opinion.

Opalapril, please call Ellen and ask your questions. All I see here is all of us running around in circles about this survey. The only way to get answers is for one of us to call Xoma.
